Thermoelectric (Peltier) Cooling ModulesThermoelectric_Coolers.html

A reliable technique for control and measurement of thermoelectric coolers is necessary not only for manufacturing of Peltier coolers. It is also important for incoming control at the customer’s facilities. Tools for testing are in high demand.

TEC Microsystems offers a range of Z-Meters - devices for examination of performance and reliability parameters of thermoelectric coolers. These devices are developed and manufactured by RMT Ltd, the holder of this patented technique.

Z-Meters have extended capabilities, many useful functions for fast and accurate testing of various types of TE coolers.

TEC Microsystems supplies more than 850 standard thermoelectric (TE) micro-coolers types: from one-stage to multi-stage designs.

The essential thermoelectric market feature is the variety of applications requiring a wide range of TEC types.

The TE  coolers are commonly applied in cooling micro-objects, and multistage deep cooling designs. Peltier Coolers are practicable tools in such areas as optoelectronics, laser engineering, microelectronics etc. Here dimensionless and electrical constraints along with high reliability come to the fore.

Miniature thermoelectric coolers

TEC Microsystems offers so-called sub-mounts or sub-assemblies – thermoelectric coolers assembled in standard or optional packages. At the moment sub-mounts with standard TO headers, “Butterfly” packages, HHL, DIL, TOSA packages are available – other packages on request. We can help to identify optimal solutions with different packages as well as are ready to design packages as requested by our customers. Another service option is to mount our Peltier coolers into packages or headers provided by the customer – NDA can be concluded.

The TECCad software was developed to assist customers in selecting the optimum thermoelectric cooler selecting from the range of RMT’s TE coolers and to provide a tool for performing estimations of operational parameters.

The main program complex is the software TECCad. The software contains subroutines yielding calculation results:

  1. Performance TECs  of standard RMT's types

  2. Optimal mode TEC characterizing

  3. TEC performance under the varying heat load

  4. Searching of task-targeted TE coolers among standard types

Programmable Temperature Controllers with PID autotune

Series of miniature TEC Temperature Controllers Series DX5100. The series is based on modular concept which allows to provide different models of OEM TEC controllers by number of controlled TECs from one, two channels up to complex systems up to 128 channels, TEC power, thermosensor types, operation modes and so on.

The key advantages of DX5100 TEC Controllers are in 85% of power converter efficiency, scalability, miniature dimensions, built-in algorithms of thermoelectric cooler diagnostics and auto-tuning of PID regulation.

Thermoelectric Thermal Reference Source (TTRS) sub-assemblies provide a temperature-controllable, uniform-temperature, high-emissivity surface used in calibrating infrared (IR) detector arrays and FLIR systems. Most TTRS sub-assemblies are open devices consisting of a Thermoelectric Cooler, Emitting Surface and Temperature Sensor. These sub-assemblies are driven by control-servo electronics. TTRS Sub-Assemblies can be equipped by OEM Temperature Controller by request.
