Thermoelectric Controller DX5100 Series represents a precision programmed devices of management of thermoelectric coolers. Bi-directional (heating and cooling) PID regulation is realized. Four operation modes are integrated:

AC Resistance, Figure-of-Merit and time constant. PID Auto-tuning is implemented. Thermoelectric Controller is based on a Modular Concept. Controller is divided functionally and physically into the control board and the power board in two variants: single-channel and two-channel, as well as peripheral and additional modules - the indication board and optional USB Interface board. Modular concept allows assembling of OEM Controller Configurations from one- and two-channel to a network systems up to 32 or 128 channels connected by RS485. Every channel has an independent TEC control and algorithm of work.

Basing on modular concept there are six available OEM configurations for DX5100 TEC Controller. The number of elements for each configuration is specified in the table below.

Modular solutions in different combinations (OEM1 - OEM4) can be connected in a network assembly on the basis of the protocol RS-485. The cable RS-485 provided with the Digital control board DX5101 serves for the connection to the network. The network general topology is based on interface RS-485 with use of the Interface Converter DX5104.
Such scalability of DX5100 Controller provides building of Multi-Channel Controller Systems - up to 128 Channels in a device. Customer may choose whether to build the Multi-Channel TEC Controller by himself, or to order a complete solution from TEC Microsystems GmbH.
