Thermoelectric (Peltier) Modules

Solid-state heat pumps, thermo cooler, thermoelectric cooler, Peltier or simply TECs - all these names refer to a device based on the Peltier-effect. TEC Microsystems GmbH is in a position to offer thermoelectric modules manufactured by the company RMT Ltd, an experienced maker specialized in micro cooling solutions for Laser and optoelectronics. There are more than five hundred standard sizes of modules available. Cold sides range from 1 x 2 mm² to 12 x 25 mm², maximum current ranges from 0.3 to 10 Amp, dTmax - from 70°C in single stage up to 150°C in multi-stage configurations.

MC Series of Single and Multi-Stage TECs

Basic large series designed for cooling and thermostabilization of microchips, IR instruments and elements of semiconductor quantum electronics. Due to the use of high quality materials, MC Series microcoolers provide increased dTmax and higher cooling capacity. The TE Coolers are compatible with components of microelectronics by dimensions and power requirements. Many options are available: TEC chaps, terminal wires, surface finish and use of different high quality ceramics. MC Series consists of three Sub-Series by pellets cross-section.

MP Series of Two-Stage TECs
This MP series of two-stage TE modules has been designed for applications where a relatively large cold side is required as well as two-stage cooling. MP TECs may be an efficient substitution of single-stage TECs. Modules of the series have equivalent cold and hot sides. That is a result of combined series and parallel cascade connection.

MD Series of Single and Multi-Stage TECs

Feature of this new MD series of miniature TE modules is increased cooling capacity. Cooling power density of the TECs is up to 15 W/cm² (optional types - up to 25 W/cm².That is a result of increased density and very low profile of thermoelements - pellets.

The series consist of two Subseries: MD04 and MD06. More than 200 new TEC types from single to four stage are now available.

ML Series of Single Stage TECs
The ML series has been developed for Telecom applications. The module types of the series are optimized for "butterfly", HHL and other laser diode packages and objects to be cooled down (laser chips, non linear crystals).  Modules of the series apply of Aluminum Nitride ceramics for effective heat transfer.

MC04 Series
of Single and Multi-Stage TECs
This is Subseries of miniature TE modules. The series is based on use of thermoelements (pellets) of cross-section 0.4x0.4 mm. Each TEC type is available with five different heights as options.

MC06 Series
of Single and Multi-Stage TECs
The biggest subseries of MC. The series is based on use of thermoelements (pellets) of cross-section 0.6x0.6 mm. Each TEC type is available with five different heights as options.

MC10 Series
of Single and Multi-Stage TECs
The most powerful subseries of MC Series. This series is based on use of thermoelelements (pellets) of cross-section 1.0x1.0 mm. Each TEC type is available with three different heights as options.

MD04 Series
of Single and Multi-Stage TECs
Subseries of miniature TE modules. It is based on of thermoelements (pellets) with 0.4x0.4mm2 cross-section. Each TEC type is available in five height/performance options. The MD04 Series consists of more than 115 different TEC types.

MD06 Series
